Text From The Back Jacket

As teenagers in the 1960s, Tommy and Barbara, both on the rebound, suddenly find themselves falling in love and begin to learn the nuances of sexual intimacy through honest and candid experimentation. When Barbara mysteriously disappears after they finally "go all the way," Tommy spends years in a futile attempt to find her and understand why.

Tommy, a budding Rock N’ Roll singer, soon encounters the, "stage door draw,” where performers become sexual targets for female admirers. But even in this exciting new world and through several intense sexual relationships, he is never able to get Barbara off his mind. When they cross paths again eight years later, both now married, they face a dilemma, realizing that their love for one another is not only undiminished but has grown even stronger over time.

Often explicitly sexual, the story centers on a deep emotional attachment that begins in adolescence, with the struggle to understand the fears, needs and desires of the opposite sex, and develops into a love that lasts a lifetime.

BARBARA is an exciting, often erotic story that instantly connects with all who came of age in those tumultuous 1960's and 70s. It also resonates deeply with anyone who recalls those fumbling teenage experiments through which we all eventually discovered our sexuality and fell in love for the very first time.
